1. What the law is
Sweden criminalizes the act of using a narcotic, not only holding one. The Narkotikastrafflag (1968:64) reaches anyone who possesses or uses, and a minor drug offense, ringa narkotikabrott, carries a fine or up to six months in prison; the standard offense carries up to three years. There is no decriminalized tier and no medical psilocybin route.

Sweden had been recorded as decriminalized. The Narkotikastrafflag makes personal use itself a crime, so the status was corrected to illegal.
