The hallucinogen paragraph of Idaho's Schedule I, at Idaho Code Section 37-2705(d), names psilocybin and psilocyn, which is also spelled psilocin. Nothing in state law recognizes a legal use for either. Possession, manufacture and delivery all carry criminal penalties under Chapter 27 of Title 37, the Idaho Uniform Controlled Substances Act. As of 2026 the state had enacted no bill decriminalizing psilocybin or authorizing supervised or therapeutic use.
Idaho's classification of psilocybin and psilocyn as Schedule I hallucinogenic substances derives from the state's adoption of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, codified at Idaho Code Title 37, Chapter 27.
