What it is

Psychologist James Fadiman sets out protocols for psychedelic sessions at several dose ranges, including the low-dose regimen that later popularised the word microdosing. Much of the book is procedural, covering preparation, setting and the role of a guide, and it draws on the research Fadiman ran in the 1960s together with self-reports he gathered afterwards. This is a practitioner reference and not medical evidence: the protocols are the author's own, and no controlled trial produced them. His 2025 microdosing reference is also on this shelf.
