What it is
Mycologist Paul Stamets describes more than a hundred psilocybin-active species worldwide, with photographs, distribution notes and taxonomic detail, under a foreword by Andrew Weil. A substantial part of the book is given over to the deadly species that resemble them, and the publisher's own description warns readers about the dangers of eating wild mushrooms. This is a taxonomic reference. Misidentifying wild fungi kills people, and nothing on this shelf substitutes for expert determination.
