The status census
One row per jurisdiction in the register: the accession identifier, the jurisdiction, its legal status, the effective date of the instrument that set it, the date we last reviewed it, and the address of the primary source we read. Those fields, and no others. The file is released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license (CC BY 4.0), which means you may copy it, redistribute it, adapt it and use it commercially, including in something you sell, so long as you credit the record and link to it.
That grant has sat on the license page since the site opened, without an address to point at. This is the address.

Two different dates. The cut is the day the file was written; the data-as-of date is the newest review date inside it. Neither is a claim that every row was checked that day: each row carries its own.
Download. The CSV is the citable file, and the JSON carries the same six fields as an array of objects. Both are UTF-8 without a byte order mark, with LF line endings; inside the CSV, values are comma separated and quoted to RFC 4180, one header row then 100 data rows. Both are named for the day they were cut:
Checksum. Its SHA-256 is printed below and served as a sidecar file beside the CSV. A build whose file and checksum disagree does not ship.

The six fields
An empty cell means we do not hold the value, and it never means zero, none or not applicable. In this cut, 52 rows have no effective date and 3 have no primary source. Each of those rows says so on its own record page.
- The identifier the register gives that row and keeps, for example AR-001. It is the stable handle: names change and this does not.
- The country, state, district or territory the row is about, written the way the record page writes it.
- Where the place sits on the criminal-penalty ladder. This cut uses 5 values: . What each one means, and what it does not, is set out in the definitions. It is a statement about penalties, never about whether a treatment is available.
- The date the instrument that set the status took effect. Empty where the date has not yet been verified against the instrument itself, which is a different thing from an instrument with no date.
- The day we last read the primary source and confirmed the row still says what it says. Rows are re-read on a tiered cycle, so these dates differ across the file.
- The address of the primary instrument we read: a statute, a regulation, a gazette, a court judgment. Empty on the rows whose record page says we hold no verified primary yet. Aggregators are how we find these documents, never what we cite in their place.

The publication is The Psilocybin Record and the publisher is Psilocybin Media Group. Use the cut date as the version. Cite this page: the address is permanent, and every edition is reachable from it.

}CC BY 4.0 asks for credit, and where a full citation will not fit, this is the line we ask for. A record page prints a fuller citation, which also satisfies it.
Editions
Files are never deleted, renamed or moved, so a citation to an edition still resolves years later, while this page always describes the current one.
How the file is made
A script reads the register the site is built from and writes the six fields out. It refuses to write anything at all if a seventh column appears, if a value arrives in the wrong type, or if the header differs from the six names in the order above. CC BY 4.0 cannot be taken back: a column released once is released for good. Every build then measures the deployed file against the checksum printed here, and stops if they differ.
A cut is a snapshot. The register keeps moving, the file states the day it was cut, and the record page is always the authority.
What is not in it: the compilation, meaning the selection of what to record and the structure it is recorded in; the dated history of every change; the written summaries and analyses; and our own confidence scoring. Those are reserved, and the license page says on what terms they are available. Nothing here licenses anything we did not make, and the facts themselves were never ours to license in the first place.
